PES 3rd grade students recently decorated pillowcases in hopes of better preparing families in the event of a disaster. Students decorate a pillowcase they can stuff at home with emergency supplies, like clothes, medicines, water, health items, toilet paper, etc. The Pillowcase Project is a preparedness education program, conducted by the Red Cross, which teaches students about personal and family preparedness, local hazards, and basic coping skills. The PJHS Boys' Track team has been smoking the competition this season. At the Northwest Invitational the team placed first out of 15 teams. The team is coached by Chris Duncan. Way to go, Trojans!
