Issue
After you update Adobe Flash Player to version 11.9.X, you're unable to interact with Adobe Flash Player objects that you try to load from Lesson Activity Toolkit or your own SMART Notebook files.
Symptoms
  • Simple Adobe Flash Player objects, such as Balloon Pop and Dice, render correctly but you're unable to interact with them.
     
  • Advanced Adobe Flash Player objects, such as Anagram and Hot Spot, don't load at all.

Solution

Downgrade Adobe Flash Player from version 11.9.X to 11.8.800.168.

Important

  • You must use Internet Explorer Internet browser for all of the downloads the procedure below.
  • When you complete each of the installations in the procedure below, Adobe prompts you to choose an update method. Select Notify me to install updates or Never check for updates to ensure that Adobe Flash Player does not update to 11.9.X again.

To downgrade Adobe Flash Player

  1. Using Internet Explorer, download the Adobe Flash Player uninstaller.
  2. Close all applications that run Adobe Flash Player, including Internet Explorer and SMART Notebook software.
  3. Run the uninstaller and follow the on-screen instructions.
  4. Restart your computer.
  5. Using Internet Explorer, download and run Adobe Flash Player ActiveX 11.8.800.168.
  6. Using Internet Explorer, download and run Adobe Flash Player Plugin 11.8.800.168.
  7. Restart your computer.
  8. Start SMART Notebook software.
Adobe Flash Player objects function as expected.
